Our roots
Cansford Labs was founded by John Wicks and Dr Lolita Tsanaclis, and from the very beginning we were doing things differently. We were among the first labs to bring hair strand testing to the UK, a method that transformed what was possible in terms of understanding patterns of use over time rather than just a single moment.
That pioneering instinct has never left us. Innovation is not something we talk about for the sake of it, it is how we are wired.
Today we are proud to be part of the Phenna Group, a wider network of testing and assurance companies that shares our commitment to quality and rigour. Being part of something larger gives us the resources to keep investing, keep growing, and keep expanding what we can offer our clients. But it has not changed who we are at our core: a close-knit, science-led team.
