Stephen Ramsay

Steve’s career in science spans both decades and disciplines. Armed with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology, he has worked across a remarkable range of laboratory settings, including workplace and sports drug testing, criminal casework and family law cases. Since 2005, his world has primarily revolved around hair testing, building a deep expertise in this area of forensic toxicology.

Steve is a long-standing member of the Society of Hair Testing (SoHT), the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT), and LTG (formerly the London Toxicology Group), to continue lifetime learning and to align with current best practice in his field.

Outside of work, Steve can usually be found up a mountain or on the rugby touchline supporting his team, bringing the same enthusiasm to the sidelines as he does to the laboratory.
